Uganda has officially been chosen as the venue for the Pan-African–Diaspora Economic and Cultural Summit 2026, a landmark event that will convene visionary leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and cultural influencers from across Africa and the global diaspora. The gathering, organized by the Ateker International Development Organization (AIDO) Network International, will take place in Kampala from May 20 to 25, 2026, culminating on African Liberation Day—a symbolic reminder of Africa’s enduring quest for unity and progress.
This prestigious event, also recognized as AIDO’s 8th Annual International Convention, will run under the banner “Reclaiming the Future: Building Bridges for Shared Prosperity.” The theme underscores AIDO’s mission to convert Africa’s rich cultural and historical connections into viable economic partnerships and sustainable growth opportunities.
Widely acclaimed for its model of cultural diplomacy in action, AIDO uses the power of shared heritage to stimulate trade, innovation, and development. The 2026 Summit will go beyond rhetoric, focusing on practical outcomes such as investment-ready projects, new policy frameworks, and strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) that will strengthen trade corridors, boost exports, and generate employment across the continent and its diaspora communities.
“Our aim is to move from conversation to implementation,” said Princess Filda Lolem, AIDO’s Director of Culture and Heritage. “This Summit will translate our collective aspirations into partnerships, projects, and policy pathways that drive inclusive growth.”
